The Marlborough Downs Challenge 2009 took place on 16th May. The weather was kinder than expected with only a few showers, but heavy rain the day before and a cold biting wind - especially on the tops - made the going challenging.
We had a record number of entrants - for the first time the event was officially FULL. The front runners made some excellent times and we believe we have a new mens 33-mile course record (this is being confirmed).
Results - The results for the 2009 Marlborough Downs Challenge are now available via the links below. Once again, we apologise for the delays in posting these but, after the technical difficulties we experienced on the day, we wanted to make sure the results were as correct as they can be. We are in the process of contacting all those who should have had prizes but weren't able to collect on the day to ensure they receive their awards.
News on next year's event will be on the web site in a few weeks.
Thank you to everyone who came - I know many of you travelled many miles to participate. The Marlborough Downs Challenge is nothing without the great good nature and fantastic running of all who take part.

P.S. We have a small amount of lost property, namely two pairs of rather muddy running shoes. Please email with details so I can identify them and I will attempt to ensure a reconciliation between owner and shoes.
